2012 BMW M1

BMW did not really fancy, so to see the vision of society EfficientDynamics concept of our own eyes the Frankfurt Motor Show, we knew that all these strange curves should be taken to a very interesting and production loans. Today, we have an answer in the form of the BMW M1 2012.

It's an interesting time for BMW to revive M1 nameplate (last heard in 1981), Mercedes-Benz is ready to revive gullwing, 2010 SLS AMG. And coincidentally enough, the Benz is working on an electric version of the SLS, which would use four engines and two transmissions for a time of 3.8 seconds from 0 to-60-mph and a top speed of 150 mph .

Although all preliminary at this point, M1 is obviously a bit slower than the Benz SLS Electric, BMW claims a 00-60 4.8 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited 155 km / h.

Look for aerodynamics plays a big role in 2012 M1, BMW will probably use most of the lessons we have learned a Formula One race Different channels and folds of the body is used to smooth the airflow and creates support. If BMW can do all this and find a car that looks as amazing as the original Giugiaro-M1 writing, it would really be a feat of design.

Unlike all-electric and the SLS-inspired Audi R8 and-tron, the BMW M1 is a plug-in hybrid. powertrain components are seemingly straight out of the EfficientDynamics concept, which was a "mid-mounted" 1.5-liter three-cylinder turbo diesel, despite the 2 +2 seating arrangement.

The concept also had two engines - one packed between the diesel line-3 and a version of the rear axle gearbox BMW M DCT dual-clutch, and other readers to the front wheels via a single box speed. Eighty-eight-cell lithium-polymer provide energy for electric motors. Peak output from all energy sources, according to BMW, is of 356 hp and 590 pounds-feet of torque.
